Associate Secretaries Guidelines and Expectations

Program Coordination and Administrative Team
International Society in Quantization, Geometry, and Dynamics (ISQGD)
Advancing Mathematics from K–12 Education to Higher Research

Purpose

The international society in Quantization, Geometry, and Dynamics (ISQGD) maintains a dedicated Program Coordination and Administrative Team consisting of Associate Secretaries who support the Society’s academic, educational, outreach, and organizational activities.

These roles are essential for facilitating communication, scheduling, coordination, and public engagement across ISQGD programs, including K–12 Talks, Global Math Circles, Distinguished Lectures, Special Sessions, Workshops, Mini-Courses, and digital outreach initiatives.

Associate Secretaries contribute meaningfully to the smooth functioning of ISQGD activities and to strengthening the Society’s global mathematical presence.

Core Qualities for Associate Secretaries

Inclusive and Flexible Approach

ISQGD adopts an inclusive and flexible approach in appointing Associate Secretaries.

Individuals at various career stages—including students, early-career researchers, educators, and professionals—may be considered, provided they demonstrate commitment, responsibility, and enthusiasm for contributing to the Society’s mission.

Role-Specific Contributions

Expected Contributions

Participation, Engagement, and Reappointment

Associate Secretaries play an important role in supporting the coordination, communication, outreach, and smooth execution of ISQGD programs and activities. Their continued engagement helps ensure that the Society’s academic, educational, and outreach initiatives are carried out effectively and professionally.

Associate Secretaries are therefore expected to remain reasonably responsive to official communications, carry out assigned responsibilities in a timely manner, and participate actively in the areas of service for which they are appointed.

As part of the renewal process, each Associate Secretary is expected to submit a biannual report at the conclusion of the two-year term. This report should provide a clear and concise summary of the Associate Secretary’s contributions, activities, responsibilities, and service carried out during the preceding two years. The report serves as an important component of the review process and supports ISQGD’s commitment to maintaining an active, accountable, effective, and mission-driven Program Coordination and Administrative Team.

ISQGD respects the professional obligations and availability of all Associate Secretaries. At the same time, continued inactivity, lack of engagement, or failure to fulfill assigned responsibilities may be taken into consideration during the reappointment process of Associate Secretaries, in alignment with the Society’s commitment to maintaining an active, effective, and mission-driven Program Coordination and Administrative Team.

Vision

ISQGD aims to build a dedicated and collaborative team that strengthens its global outreach, academic programs, and educational initiatives.

“To serve ISQGD is to serve the world.”
We seek committed individuals who share this vision and are willing to actively contribute to the Society’s mission, outreach, and the global mathematical community.
