Program Leadership and Regional Coordination

ISQGD programs and regional initiatives are supported through two distinct but complementary leadership roles: Program Directors and Regional Directors. Program Directors guide specific ISQGD programs or major initiatives, while Regional Directors support outreach and coordination within assigned geographic regions.

Program Leadership

Program Directors

Program Directors provide leadership for specific ISQGD programs or major initiatives, such as educational programs, outreach programs, publications, conferences, clubs, workshops, and other Society-approved activities. Their role is program-focused rather than region-focused.

Regional Coordination

Regional Directors

Regional Directors support the development, communication, and coordination of ISQGD activities within assigned geographic regions. Their role is region-focused and helps connect local schools, colleges, universities, educators, researchers, students, and communities with ISQGD programs.

Clarification: Program Directors lead or oversee particular ISQGD programs or initiatives. Regional Directors coordinate and support ISQGD activities within designated geographic regions. These roles are complementary and are intended to strengthen communication, organization, and participation without creating confusion between program responsibility and regional outreach.

ISQGD Volunteer Network

ISQGD is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization. Individuals who contribute to ISQGD activities without governance responsibilities are recognized as members of the ISQGD Volunteer Network.

To clarify each person's area of service, the following volunteer designations may be used:

ISQGD Volunteer (Probability and Statistics Club)

Additional volunteer designations may be introduced as new ISQGD programs, projects, and initiatives are developed. The common designation ISQGD Volunteer reflects voluntary service while the phrase in parentheses identifies the area of contribution.

Recognition of Volunteers

The designation ISQGD Volunteer does not diminish the importance of any contributor. On the contrary, volunteers are essential to the success of every community-driven nonprofit organization.

ISQGD Volunteers contribute their time, knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to support mathematics, education, research, conferences, publications, outreach, mentoring, academic clubs, and international collaboration.

ISQGD may recognize volunteer service through webpages, appointment letters, certificates, acknowledgements, appreciation letters, and other forms of public recognition, as appropriate.
